Jeremy Vierra, Jackson baseball
Vierra, a junior designated hitter, singled to drive in Ben Steck in the bottom of the seventh inning, giving the Timberwolves a 4-3, walk-off win over Lake Stevens in a Wesco 4A game.
Owen Bishop, Arlington baseball
Bishop, a junior, threw three hitless innings with five strikeouts and went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and four RBI as the Eagles ripped Snohomish 16-0 in a five-inning Wesco 3A North win.
Ryan Lynch, Monroe baseball
Lynch, a sophomore, threw a complete-game two-hitter and struck out 11 Glacier Peak batters in the Bearcats’ 9-1 Wesco 4A win over the Grizzlies. Lynch also doubled at the plate for Monroe.
Riley Mae Swanson, Lakewood softball
Swanson struck out 11 in a complete-game effort as the Cougars beat Cedarcrest 6-4.
Devin Kim, Kamiak boys golf
Kim, a senior, fired a 4-under-par 32 to take medalist honors in the first Wesco 4A boys match of the season, at Battle Creek Golf Course in Tulalip. The Knights also finished first in the team standings.
