LYNDEN — King’s won three consecutive matches, including a 3-0 win in the championship game over Lynden Christian at the 1A District 1 tournament. King’s won the tournament title with set scores of 25-19, 25-15 and 25-8. They won a 3-0 semifinal match against Nooksack Valley 25-19, 25-12 and 25-10 and a 3-0 first-round, loser-out match against Friday Harbor with scores of 25-7 in each set. Outside hitters Caitlin Fransen, Jocyln Kirton and Payton Young finished with 24, 35 and 26 kills, respectively, for the day. King’s advances to the 1A Tri-District playoffs as the district’s No. 1 seed.
