STANWOOD — The Spartans earned their first win and handed the fourth-ranked Royals their first loss of the season after a five-set, non-conference match, 25-20, 14-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-10.

Zoey Halligan charted four kills and two digs, Harper Neyens 18 kills, 16 digs, four aces and one block, Cambrielle Brown 20 digs, eight kills and two aces, Addi Bowie 30 assists, 18 digs and three kills and Olivia Wildenberg nine assists, four digs and one ace. Presley Harris recorded five digs and two kills, Lyla Henken 18 digs and four aces, Liza Howe six digs and Whitney Longspaugh 30 digs, 10 kills and one block for Stanwood (1-2 overall).

For Lynnwood (3-1 overall), Sammy Holmer tallied 18 kills, 15 digs, five aces and three blocks, Evangeline Sum 35 assists, 10 digs and four blocks, Audrey Williams 10 blocks and seven kills, Harmony Johnson 13 digs and nine kills and Ady Morgan 16 digs, four blocks and four kills.

Northwest 2B/1B

Darrington 3, Concrete 0

DARRINGTON — The Loggers swept the Lions in three straight sets, 25-23, 25-17, 25-6, in the first league match for both teams. Claire Wright had 19 kills, 11 digs and six aces, Ava Pater 25 assists and seven kills, Abigail Cochran four kills and three blocks and CrimsonVincent 15 digs and two aces for Darrington (3-0 overall, 1-0 league). Concrete dropped to 4-2, 0-1.

Non-league

Meadowdale 3, Marysville Getchell 0

LYNNWOOD — The Mavericks swept the Chargers in three straight sets, 25-18, 25-22, 25-17, in a non-conference match. Lindsey Warner registered seven kills and four blocks and Aurelia Ngantung 22 assists for Meadowdale (2-2 overall). Marysville Getchell dropped to 1-3.
