OAK HARBOR — The Thunderbirds clinched a 3A District 1 playoff berth, winning the Wesco 3A match by scores of 25-23, 17-25, 25-20, 19-25 and 15-10. Monica Postor had nine kills and 16 digs; Maddie Welsh had three aces, eight kills and 11 blocks, and Carolyn Stransky had 20 assists for Shorewood (4-2 league, 6-4 overall). Kelsey Terrazas-Cooley had 38 digs, Jordan Faralan had 28 assists and Roshel Muzzall had six kills, four aces and five blocks for the Wildcats (3-3, 6-4).
