YAKIMA — Darrington took second place out of a field of 32 volleyball teams from 1A, 2B and B schools across the state at the SunDome Volleyball Festival on Friday. The Loggers swept their pool play matches and beat Montesano 2-0 in the quarterfinals and Lynden Christian 2-0 in the semifinals. Darrington lost 2-0 to Heppner in the final. Amy Miles had 39 kills, 13 blocks and Monica Franke had 13 aces on the day. The SunDome Volleyball Festival continues today with Glacier Peak, Oak Harbor and King’s competing in upper division play.
