Prep Wrestling: Everett 48, Oak Harbor 25

OAK HARBOR — Everett won nine of 14 matches in besting Oak Harbor 47-25 in their Wesco 3A wrestling meet Thursday.

The two schools entered the meet tied atop the Wesco 3A standings with identical 3-0 league records.

Everett 119-pound wrestler Jessie Lopez defeated Oak Harbor’s Cody Fakkema 21-7 for a major decision.

Hunter Vail pinned Everett’s Lane Gandrud in 1 minute, 14 seconds to win the 215-pound bout for the Wildcats.
