The most notable aspect of Everett’s early-season schedule was the heavy dose of Portland, as four of the Tips’ first six games were against the Winterhawks. Three of those games have been played, with Everett taking five of a possible six points off the four-time defending Western Conference champions. However, during that time Portland has slowly been getting its star players back, and now there’s news that center Nicolas Petan has been sent back by the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets. Therefore, Petan should be available for the last of those four games when it takes place Friday in Everett.
