It was quite the week for Shane Harper. The Tips winger set the franchise record for career games played when he appeared in his 288th Saturday at Tri-City. He also scored twice in that game, including a highlight-reel goal, and has a four-game goals streak, scoring seven total in those four games. He now has 19 goals and 16 assists in 25 games this season, and I’m beginning to wonder whether he’s having the best offesive season ever put together by an Everett player. Well, it’s too early to make that kind of determination yet.
But in the process of considering the possibility, I came across a quandary. Just what is the greatest individual offensive season by a Silvertip? No Everett player has ever cracked the 100-point barrier. Zach Hamill won the league scoring title in 2006-07 with 93 points, but it can be argued that Peter Mueller had a better offensive season that year. Heck, defenseman Shaun Heshka’s offensive contributions in 2005-06 may even warrant consideration.
So this week’s poll is one for you die hards who have been around through the years.
Here’s some statistical information for assistance:
John Lammers 05-06 — 70 games, 38-37-75
Shaun Heshka 05-06 — 66 games, 10-49-59
Zach Hamill 06-07 — 69 games, 32-61-93
Peter Mueller 06-07 — 51 games, 21-57-78
Dan Gendur 07-08 — 60 games, 29-55-84
