DETROIT — The Detroit Red Wings have signed general manager Ken Holland and assistant general manager Jim Nill to five-year contract extensions.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Owner Mike Ilitch said in a statement Wednesday that Holland and Nill have been the core of the team’s front office for more than a decade and are the cornerstone of the team’s success.
The 54-year-old Holland has been Detroit’s general manager for 13 seasons.
