DARRINGTON – Darrington senior pitcher Kris Reece gave up just two hits and struck out eight batters in four innings to lead the Loggers to a 15-3 non-conference victory over Rainier Christian on Saturday.
The second of two five-inning games was rained out.
Senior Greg Rosselli, junior Dane Wells and Reece each went 2-for-4 from the plate for the Loggers and had two RBI apiece.

Darrington 9, Rainier Christian 7: Junior center fielder Chelsea Traulsen led Darrington to a season-opening victory, going 3-for-3 with an RBI. Sophomore catcher Kylie Thompson made an impact as well, going 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI for the Loggers.
