Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reported Thursday night that the Seahawks have hired Carl Smith as their new quarterbacks coach, replacing Jedd Fisch who left for the University of Miami.
Smith, who coached under Pete Carroll at USC in 2004 and 2009, most recently served as the QB coach in Cleveland.

A team spokesman confirmed that Smith has been hired as the QB coach.
