SPOKANE — Alberto Rodriguez and Walking Cabrera continued Everett’s surge at the plate and the AquaSox downed the Spokane Indians 9-4 on Wednesday night for their sixth straight win.
Rodriguez went 4-for-5 with his first home run of the season, two doubles and four runs batted in, Cabrera went 2-for-3 with his fourth home run, and Jonatan Clase went 2-for-5 and stole bases to bring his total to 14 in 16 games.
Harry Ford went 1-for-2 with three walks and three runs scored and Tyler Locklear doubled and drove in a run for the AquaSox.
Juan Mercedes started on the mound for Everett (10-6) and allowed three runs on six hits in six innings. Mercedes struck out six and did not walk a batter. Peyton Alford and Ty Adcock closed out the game with a scoreless inning each.
Sterlin Thompson went 2-for-3 with a home run for Spokane (6-8).
