The NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora is reporting that the Seahawks have released safety Brian Russell, and according to NFL.com’s Steve Wyche, the move was made to make room for the eventual signing of former Husky Lawyer Milloy.

UPDATE: The team is now confirming that Russell has been released, though not the Milloy signing yet.
