It was a good night for the Eastern Conference’s elite teams.
The Eastern Conference leading Indiana Fever scored an 82-71 victory over the New York Liberty on Saturday.
Tamika Catchings tied her career-high with 32 points to lead the Fever (17-7). Cappie Pondexter scored 30 points in
defeat for the Liberty (13-11).
The Connecticut Sun also earned a victory on Saturday, 82-75 over the Washington Mystics.
Tina Charles scored16 points to lead the Sun (15-8). Crystal Langhorne’s 17 led the Mystics (5-16).
In Saturday’s other game, the Atlanta Dream easily upset the Seattle Storm 92-63 at Key Arena. The loss ended the Storm’s eight-game home winning streak.
