Being out of town for the weekend I was unable to update the blog until now, but it was a busy weekend in the WNBA starting with four games on Saturday.
The Indiana Fever maintained their spot atop of the Eastern Conference with a 68-57 victory over the Washington Mystics.
Erin Phillips led the Fever (9-3) with 14 points and Katie Douglas chipped in 12.
Nicky Anoskike scored 12 points to lead the Mystics (2-8).
The Chicago Sky evened their record at 6-6 with a 81-69 victory over the Atlanta Dream.
Epiphanny Prince scored 24 points and Gonzaga alum Courtney Vandersloot scored 16 to lead the Sky.
Angel McCoughtry paced the Dream (3-8) with 17 points.
The MInnesota Lynx also earned a convincing win over the Connecticut Sun.
Rookie Maya Moore led the Lynx (7-3) with 26 points and Seimone Augustus added 20 as the Lynx returned to early season form.
Renee Montgomery scored 14 points to lead the Sun (6-4).
In Saturday’s other game, the Storm beat the Los Angeles Sparks 99-80.
