We had a note on this in today’s Herald, but in case you missed it, the end of the season means next year’s opponents are now set, though the actual schedule won’t be released until April. Most of the opponents were already set before Sunday’s games, but since two games are against same-place finishers from other divisions, those two weren’t determined until the Seahawks, Cowboys and Panthers all won their respective divisions, meaning Seattle will host Carolina and travel to Carolina.
Because Seattle plays the AFC North a year after playing the NFC West, this will be the second year in a row that the Seahawks will face a division that produced three playoff teams the previous year (San Diego, Denver and Kansas City were all playoff teams in 2013, and Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Baltimore all qualified for the postseason this year).
Home: Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers.
Away: Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals.
