RENTON — Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Nate Burleson’s injury is much worse than the team thought, coach Mike Holmgren said Monday afternoon.
Burleson will miss the entire NFL season with a torn ACL that he suffered in Sunday’s 34-10 loss to Buffalo. Holmgren said the team probably will look for a veteran receiver to help fill the void.
Also injured in the game was running back Maurice Morris, who could miss two weeks with a sprained knee. Julius Jones will start in his place.
Middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu was wearing a soft cast Monday to protect an injured thumb, but he is not expected to miss any playing time due to the injury.
