The Seattle Seahawks officially announced the signing of defensive tackle Colin Cole on Monday morning, but there’s still no word regarding free agent wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

Seahawks Sign Defensive Tackle Colin Cole
Renton, Wash. – In the team’s first signing of the free agency period, the Seattle Seahawks have signed defensive tackle Colin Cole from the Green Bay Packers to a multi-year deal, the team announced this morning.
He began his career signing with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 2, 2003 but was waived and signed with the Detroit Lions. He was declared inactive on three occasions in 2003.
Picked up by Green Bay prior to the 2004 season, Cole played in 57 games with eight starts. He tallied 165 tackles (97 solo), 3.5 sacks, six passes defensed and one forced fumble during his time with the Packers
