RENTON — Seattle Seahawks cornerback Josh Wilson, who has been one of the highlights of an otherwise dismal season, hurt his leg at Wednesday’s practice and could not finish the session.
Wilson appeared to hurt his right ankle and required attention from a team trainer before walking off the field under his own power.
His status for Sunday’s game against Washington is unknown.
Wilson is a starting cornerback and the Seahawks’ primary kickoff return man. He has interceptions in two of the past four games, averaging 66.5 yards per return with a touchdown. Wilson also ranks fourth in the NFC in kickoff returns, averaging 25.8 yards per clip.
