SEATTLE — Running back T.J. Duckett scored two touchdowns in his first preseason start, making a strong case for a roster spot while also leading the Seattle Seahawks to a 23-16 win over the Oakland Raiders on Friday night.
Duckett scored on a 24-yard run to open the scoring, then added a 1-yard dive to put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter.
The veteran running back is battling for a roster spot. His Friday performance could mean he beats out rookie Justin Forsett, who muffed a punt in the game, but it more likely will result in the Seahawks keeping six running backs.
The Seahawks have to make 22 roster moves by Saturday afternoon, when their roster must stand at 53 players.
