The Seahawks re-signed one of their most important free agents, reaching a deal with defensive tackle Brandon Mebane, general manager John Schneider said.
Mebane, a third-round pick out of California in 2007, has developed into one of the Seahawks’ best linemen, and was one of the top defensive tackles available in free agency. Landing him was one of Seattle’s top priorities when free agency began.
“Being able to re-sign one of your own guys who is a hot commodity is huge,” Schneider said.
Seattle also announced the signing of third-round pick John Moffitt, meaning all nine draft picks are signed.
More to come from Schneider in a bit.
