SEATTLE — Seattle Seahawks safety Deon Grant finished Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers, but the veteran captain said the knee injury he suffered in the first quarter could end up being “serious.”
“I heard a pop,” he said, “so it must be an MCL (medial collateral ligament). Something happened with it. I didn’t get any tests. I just put a brace on and went back out there.”
Grant hurt his knee early in Sunday’s 27-17 loss to the Packers, missing most of the first quarter before returning to the field. After the game, he said that the fact that he was able to return to the field might not necessarily mean that his knee came out OK.
“It still might be a serious thing,” he said. “I just don’t care nothing about it. I played on, so it isn’t too serious.”
