The Seattle Seahawks might not have anyone playing in the Pro Bowl in February, but they do have an invitee.
Left tackle Walter Jones earned his franchise-record ninth invitation to the Pro Bowl on Tuesday, moving him past Cortez Kennedy for the most invitations ever given to a Seahawks player.
Jones was the only Seahawks player named to the Pro Bowl, although he won’t be able to play in the game. Jones was placed on injured reserve Monday and is expected to undergo microfracture knee surgery in the near future. Coach Mike Holmgren said last week that the surgery will keep Jones out of action until training camp.
Jones has played in seven previous Pro Bowls, sitting out an eighth because of offseason surgery.
