Seahawks coach Pete Carroll did his usual Monday radio show on 710 ESPN Seattle, and the biggest piece of news that came out of it is that left tackle Russell Okung has a bruise lung, and it sounds like he’ll be out at least for this week’s game.
“He’s pretty sore now,” Carroll said. “He’s got a bruised lung… It’s going to be a little bit for him… It’s going to be a week or so before he’s able to jump back out there.”
Carroll meets with the media later this afternoon, so perhaps we’ll have more info on Okung’s status then.
The only other injury news Carroll addressed was that center Max Unger is “not all the way back yet.” Carroll sounded optimistic Sunday about Unger’s chances of returning this week, but a day later said, “We’ll have to find out how this week turns out. We don’t know.”
