Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson suffered a sprained right ankle in last Sunday’s season-opening 12-10 victory over the Miami Dolphins, an injury that hobbled him through most of the second half. However, Wilson seemed to be moving OK during the warm-up portion of Wednesday’s practice:

Wilson made it through Wednesday’s practice fine and the Seahawks expect him to be a full-go for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.
In addition to Wilson, running back C.J. Prosise was also a participant in Wednesday’s practice, despite suffering a broken bone in his hand Sunday. Prosise practiced with a cast enveloping his entire right hand, bringing into question whether he’d be capable of handling the ball.
Meanwhile, starting right guard Germain Ifedi remained out of practice. Seattle’s first-round draft pick missed the game against Miami because of a sprained ankle. Ifedi had been considered questionable for this Sunday’s game at Los Angeles, but on Wednesday Seahawks coach Pete Carroll acknowledged it would be a challenge for Ifedi to make it back this week.
There’s also news about the players Seattle waived Tuesday. The most significant is that cornerback Tharold Simon is staying in the NFC West, as he was claimed by the Arizona Cardinals. It’ll be interesting to see how things go for Simon in Arizona, since the Seahawks were always high on his ability. It’ll also be interesting to see if Simon can stay healthy, something he wasn’t able to do in his three-plus seasons in Seattle.
The other player waived by Seattle Tuesday, Archbishop Murphy High School graduate Taniela Tupou, cleared waivers and is now a free agent.
