Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, who was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of alchohol has been charged with driving under the influence, a spokesman for the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.
Lynch, who was pulled over after being observed swerving on Interstate-880 in Oakland by a California Highway Patrol Officer, is being charged under California Vehicle Codes 23142. A and B, which state:
“23152. (a) It is unlawful for any person who is under the influence of any alcoholic beverage or drug, or under the combined influence of any alcoholic beverage and drug, to drive a vehicle.
“(b) It is unlawful for any person who has 0.08 percent or more, by weight, of alcohol in his or her blood to drive a vehicle.”
Lynch is currently scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 14.
