With the league’s collective bargaining agreement set to expire later this week, these are the finals days in which teams can re-sign player set to become free agents (teams can only re-sign their own players, not other team’s free agents). And while none of the big-name free agents have re-signed yet with Seattle–Matt Hasselbeck, Brandon Mebane, Leon Washington, etc–the Seahawks did sign cornerback Kennard Cox Monday.
Cox played 11 games last season, primarily on special teams. He had a blocked punt against Kansas City, which was returned by Earl Thomas for a touchdown.
Cox signed with Seattle in April, and was originally a seventh-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2008.
