The agent of DE Pep Levingston reported on twitter that his client has reached a deal with the Seahawks, making the first of Seattle’s draft picks to do so (at least that anyone knows of).
Levingston, who played tackle and end at LSU, fits the mold of a Red Bryant-type end in Seattle’s defen
se, and given the Seahawks lack of depth on the line, he’ll have a good shot at contributing despite his late-round draft status.
And speaking of rookie contracts, it’s worth a reminder while we’re on the topic that, under the new CBA, rookie contracts will be slotted, much like in the NBA, meaning far, far less drama. For the most part, the days of rookie holdouts should be over.
