The Seahawks on Tuesday released Mike Reilly, a quarterback from Central Washington University, and signed wide receiver Marcus Maxwell.
Maxwell was drafted in the seventh-round (223rd overall) by the San Francisco 49ers out of Oregon in the 2005 draft and played in four games his rookie year. Maxwell spent the spring of 2006 in NFL Europa and the NFL season on the practice squad but was then released and signed with Cincinnati, playing in five games with one catch for five yards in 2007. He ended the 2008 and 2009 seasons on injured reserve with Baltimore and Tampa Bay, respectively.
Reilly was claimed off waivers by Seattle on May 4.
