Not long after news broke of Olindo Mare leaving Seattle to sign with Carolina, the Seahawks have added a rookie kicker. Auburn’s Wes Byrum and his agent both confirmed the move on twitter. Byrum made 32 of 38 field goal attempts over the past two years, including 8 of 10 from 40-plus yards.
It’s likely Byrum will have company in training camp as the Seahawks try out multiple options to replace Mare, the team’s kicker for the past three years.
