KIRKLAND — Middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu was among the Seattle Seahawks to return to the practice field Monday, but quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and wide receiver Bobby Engram were still sidelined by injuries.
Coach Mike Holmgren said that Hasselbeck’s back is still bothering him after it tightened up in Friday’s preseason opener. The coach added that the team had yet to discuss whether to hold Hasselbeck out of this Saturday’s preseason game against Chicago.
Earlier today, Holmgren announced that Engram would be out six to eight weeks because of a cracked bone in his shoulder.
Tatupu sat out Sunday’s practice because of a sore knee. Also returning to practice was defensive lineman Nu’u Tafisi, who had been sidelined by a knee problem.
