Ruston Webster, who has spent the past four seasons as the Seahawks VP of player personnel, has accepted a job with the Tennessee Titans, the Seahawks announced Friday.
Webster, 47, served as the Seahawks interim general manager after Tim Ruskell resigned mid-season. He was a candidate for the GM job in Tennessee in 2007, but the Titans ended up hiring Mike Reinfeldt from the Seahawks front office.
Seattle also announced that Scott Fitterer, the western region director of college scouting was promoted to director of college scouting and that area scout Eric Stokes was promoted to assistant director of college scouting.
“We are very excited to expand the roles and responsibilities of both Scott and Eric,” Seahawks GM John Schneider said in a release. “Both men place great importance on the value of hard work and share a strong passion for the game and the Seahawks. They are highly qualified and these are well-deserved promotions.”
