Seahawks vs. 49ers inactives: Diggs, Willson out for Seattle

The Seahawks get Clowney and Griffin back; San Francisco has depth issues on the D-line.

Here are the inactives for Sunday night’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers at CenturyLink Field, which will determine the winner of the NFC West:

SEATTLE (11-4)

Inactive: WR Malik Turner, TE Luke Willson, LB Dekoda Watson, T Duane Brown, DT Bryan Mone, G Ethan Pocic, FS Quandre Diggs.

Notes: Of course, the big news is the return of RB Marshawn Lynch as he and RB Robert Turbin reprise their Seahawks Super Bowl-winning running-back pairing after RBs Chris Carson (hip) and C.J. Prosise (arm) were placed on injured reserve this week. We’ll see how much Lynch and Turbin have left in the tank, as neither has played since last October.

Seattle is without Brown (knee/biceps), the team’s starting left tackle, for the second straight week, though the hope is to get him back at some point during the playoffs. Jamarco Jones took his place last week, though George Fant is also in the running. Starters Diggs (ankle) and Willson (hip) and reserve Pocic (core) sit this one out after being listed as questionable, while back-up Turner (concussion) had already been ruled out. DT Al Woods is serving the second game of his four-game suspension.

As for returns, DE Jadeveon Clowney (core) and CB Shaquill Griffin (hamstring) both are back after missing two games, which should provide a big boost to the defense.

SAN FRANCISCO (12-3)

Inactive: QB C.J. Beathard, SS Jaquiski Tartt, RB Jeff Wilson Jr., CB Dontae Johnson, TE Daniel Helm, DE Dee Ford, WR Jordan Matthews.

Notes: The 49ers have some depth issues on the defensive line as Ford (quadriceps/hamstring) remains sidelined, while DT Julian Taylor (elbow/knee) was placed on injured reserve this week. San Francisco also plays without starting SS Tartt (ribs). Starting RG Mike Pearson (neck) is active after being listed as questionable.

Perhaps most importantly, the 49ers have TE George Kittle, the team’s leading receiver, available after he sat out the first meeting between the two teams injured.
