Seahawks vs. Chargers inactives: Seattle starter trio active

Wright, McDougald and Carson are all active for the Seahawks; leading rusher Gordon back for L.A.

Here are the inactives for Sunday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Chargers at CenturyLink Field:

SEATTLE (4-3)

Inactive: RB C.J. Prosise, CB Neiko Thorpe, S Maurice Alexander, G Jordan Simmons, G Ethan Pocic, DT Nazair Jones, DT Poona Ford.

Notes: The Seahawks had three key players listed as questionable in LB K.J. Wright (knee), S Bradley McDougald (knee) and RB Chris Carson (hip). But all three were deemed healthy enough to play. Seattle also gets DE Rasheem Green (ankle) back after a four-game absence. The only players the Seahawks are without because of injury are Thorpe (groin), who’s primarily a special teams player, and Simmons (calf), who likely would have been a healthy scratch anyway. Seattle also released veteran receiver Brandon Marshall this week, and his replacement WR Malik Turner is active. Interesting to see both Jones and Ford as healthy scratches, as it means the Seahawks have just two defensive tackles (Jarran Reed, Shamar Stephen) active.

LOS ANGELES (5-2)

Inactive: S Rayshawn Jenkins, RB Detrez Newsome, DE Chris Landrum, C Cole Toner, T Trent Scott, G Forrest Lamp, DE Joey Bosa.

Notes: The Chargers are coming off their bye week, yet Los Angeles will continue to be without the services of their Pro Bowl pass rusher as Bosa, who the team hoped would be back this week from the foot injury that’s kept him out all season, was ruled out Friday. Starting LB Kyzir White (knee) was placed on injured reserve this week, while Landrum (hip), a back-up, also sits because of injury. However, the Chargers do get leading rusher Melvin Gordon (hamstring) back after a one-game absence, and kicker Caleb Strugis (quadriceps) also returns to the fold.
