Seahawks vs. Patriots inactives: Dorsett sits again

Starting receivers Edelman and Harry are active for New England after being listed as questionable.

Here is the inacticves report for Sunday night’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots at CenturyLink Field:

SEATTLE (1-0)

Inactive: WR Phillip Dorsett II, RB DeeJay Dallas, LB D’Andre Walker, DE Rasheem Green, T Cedric Ogbuehi, DE Alton Robinson.

Notes: This game was certainly circled on the schedule by Dorsett, who signed as a free agent with the Seahawks this offseason following three seasons with the Patriots. However, the player brought in to be the No. 3 receiver, who was listed as questionable, misses his second straight game because of a foot injury. Seattle had two back-ups on the injury report listed as doubtful in DE Rasheem Green (neck) and T Cedric Ogbuehi (pectoral), and neither will play in this one. Rookies Dallas and Robinson will have to wait at least one more week to make their NFL debuts.

NEW ENGLAND (1-0)

Inactive: LB Josh Uche, T Korey Cunningham, QB Jarrett Stidham, RB James White, TE Dalton Keene, DB Myles Bryant.

Notes: Tragedy for the Patriots as White is inactive after his parents were reportedly involved in a car crash earlier Sunday, leaving his father dead and mother in critical condition.

New England came into the game with questions surrounding starting receivers Julian Edelman (knee) and N’Keal Harry (shoulder), but both are active. On defense, starting DT Adam Butler (shoulder) and starting LB Brandon Copeland (knee), who were also listed as questionable, are both active. Back-ups Uche (ankle) and Keene (neck) sit the game out with injuries. Bryant, a former University of Washington Husky, is a healthy scratch in his return to Seattle.

This will be the Seahawks’ first time facing New England with Cam Newton at quarterback, though Seattle is well acquainted with Newton from his days with the Carolina Panthers (eight meetings).
