Well that was a dud
. . . My attempt at a game thread, not the game. Though the game wasn’t too great either. Anyway, we had some serious technical difficulties here, and I was unable to get into the blog post to add commentary on Seattle’s 20-7 loss to the Vikings. Sorry for those of you who were trying to follow along here. I’ll do better next time.
Viking lead early
Apologies for the late start. I thought I had a game thread started earlier, but alas my technically-challenged self failed to hit the save button. Oh well.
So what have we seen so far? Well, for starters the offensive line is having a heck of a time keeping Tarvaris Jackson upright. Thanks to Jackson’s elusiveness, he has not been sacked yet, but has been under near constant pressure on the first three possession.
Golden Tate may be the only Seahawk having a worse day than the O-line. Tate has two drops, the later of which was intercepted and returned for a touchdown. He also brought the opening kickoff out from six yards deep in the end zone and was tackled at the 16-yard line.
The Seahawks defense has a three-and-out in its only chance on the field, and the punt team forced a fumble, though it was originally ruled that the ball carrier was down. Seattle won a challenge, but the call still hurt them, because had the play not been blown dead, Aaron Curry would have had a touchdown after recovering the ball.
