DeMarcus Granger, an undrafted rookie out of Oklahoma, was waived by the Seahawks today. At 320 pounds and coming from a major program, Granger was one of the more intriguing UFAs signed by the Seahawks following the draft, but apparently he didn’t do enough to impress Seahawks coaches.
That leaves the Seahawks with five tackles on the roster: Brandon Mebane and Colin Cole, the likely starters, and Red Bryant, Craig Terril and Kevin Vickerson. Vickerson, who was part of the trade that brought LenDale White to Seattle from Tennessee, has been battling a groin injury and has not been able to practice, while Bryant has been getting some reps at defensive end.
