CHENEY — The Seattle University men’s basketball team enjoyed its best shooting performance of the young season, but it was not enough as Eastern Washington held on for a 76-70 non-conference victory Wednesday afternoon in a game rescheduled from Tuesday night.
The Redhawks hit 51 percent of their field-goal attempts (26-of-51), including 9-of-15 from behind the 3-point line. Brendan Westendorf led Seattle (0-3) with 20 points.
Felix Von Hofe topped Eastern (2-1) with a career-high 25 points, including seven of EWU’s 15 3-pointers.
The game was moved to Wednesday afternoon after high winds created dangerous travel conditions in Eastern Washington on Tuesday.
The two teams play again Monday at KeyArena in Seattle. The tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
