GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Austen Powers had a team-high 18 points and eight rebounds but it wasn’t enough to keep Seattle University’s 10-game winning streak alive.
North Dakota (14-11 overall) scored 18 unanswered points in the first half then held off Seattle’s attempts to rally. The Fighting Sioux were led by O.J. Harrison, who recorded a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Mountlake Terrace H.S. alum Tatiana Heck finished with two points in limited action for Seattle University, which had its 11-game winning streak snapped by North Dakota (15-11 overall).
Breanna Salley led Seattle (18-8) with 17 points, and Mercedes Alexander recorded her third straight double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds.
North Dakota had four players score in double figures, led by Kierah Kimbrough, who posted a double-double of her own with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
