This is not the most interesting photograph, I think the oven looks good, but as a photograph it is not the most exciting—except to me. This photograph is special to me because I am in it and it is very unusual for a photographer to get themselves in the newspaper. Can you see me? I’m the blurry black shape in the center of the oven.
Reflective surfaces give photographers problems with lighting and positioning, since I could not move the oven into a studio, or put a black background all over the kitchen, I decided to hide myself by pulling my black fleece over my head to hide my face and hands.
