Washington just got done honoring their seniors, and kicker Michael Braunstein was not among those taking the walk. Braunstein’s father apparently met with Tyrone Willingham Friday and they’ve decided to put off a decision on Braunstein’s future. Chris Hemphill was honored though, likely meaning his career as a Husky is over.
The largest ovation went to quarterback Isaiah Stanback, who was announced last and walked onto the field on his crutches. He, along with C.J. Wallace, Dashon Goldson and Sonny Shackelford, were named captains.
This is an incredibly small crowd for the game, which has to be really disappointing to the Huskies.
Washington won the toss, deferred, and Stanford will receive.
