EVERETT – Shorecrest’s Eric Duenas said hello and then waved goodbye to the Everett Seagulls at Everett Memorial Stadium Friday night.

The Shorecrest senior running back piled up 248 yards on 24 carries to lead the Scots to the 35-14 Western Conference South Division victory.

Shorecrest moved to 3-0 in the division and overall and next will meet fellow unbeaten Kamiak Friday at Shoreline Stadium.

What looked like a close game at the end of the first quarter with the score 7-7, turned into rout as Shorecrest rattled off 28 unanswered points in the second quarter.

Duenas, who moved to Shoreline from Wyoming prior to the school year, sprinted away from the Everett defense on a 79-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to make the score 28-7.

Jesse Davis caught a 22-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Matt Heck to make the score 35-7 at the half.

Heck finished the game 5-for-6 for 95 yards and two touchdowns.
