TACOMA — The Shorecrest girls basketball team lost to Seattle Prep 46-41 on Wednesday in a 3A Hardwood Classic opening-round game at the Tacoma Dome.
The Panthers took a 22-20 halftime lead and outscored the Scots 12-9 in the third quarter, but were never able to pull away; their biggest fourth-quarter lead was six points.
Julia Strand led Shorecrest with 13 points, and Amanda Lee added 10.
The Scots’ season ended with the loss.
