SNOHOMISH — Snohomish’s Torsten Hokanson set 3A District 1 swimming and diving meet records in both the 50 and 100 freestyle races and anchored the Panthers’ 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams to meet records on Saturday at the Snohomish Aquatic Center.
Shorecrest got off to a fast start, as Danny Stephenson, Ian Reece, Kason Kirkpatrick and Tristan Serrano set a meet record in the 200-yard medley relay as the Scots used superior depth to win the team title. Shorecrest will be represented in 20 events at the state meet, which begins Thursday at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. Shorewood, Snohomish and Stanwood will each send 10 entries to state.
Stanwood’s Levi Stiers established a new meet record in the 50 freestyle adaptive race.
