Shorewood beats Kamiak for 5th straight win

MUKILTEO — Sam Olson had a goal and an assist to lead Shorewood to a 2-0 victory over Kamiak in a Wesco South boys soccer game.

Piotr Pobudkiewicz also scored a goal for Shorewood, which improved its record to 5-0 in league play and overall.

Goalkeeper Dorian Lair had the shutout for Shorewood.

At Kamiak H. S.

Everett 4, Oak Harbor 2: At Everett, Julian Ehlert had a goal and two assists and Daniel Espinosa and Erik Cardenas had a goal and an assist as the Seagulls defeated the Wildcats in Wesco North soccer action. Kevin Flavin had a pair of goals for Oak Harbor and Taylor Erickson added a goal for Everett.

At Everett Memorial Stadium

Marysville-Pilchuck 3, Monroe 2: At Monroe, Seth Jones and Ryan Wilson scored goals early in the second half and the Tomahawks held on for the Wesco North victory.

Arlington 4, Stanwood 0: At Stanwood, Zach Fulwiller had two goals and Brett Strong had a pair of assists as the Eagles won the Wesco North contest. James Chesnutt and Walter Flores also had goals and Keith Bayer recorded the shutout in goal for Arlington.

Jackson 3, Lynnwood 0: At Edmonds, Jackson broke open a scoreless game at halftime with three goals in the second half for an easy Wesco South victory against Lynnwood.

Shorecrest 4, Meadowdale 0: At Shoreline, the Scots scored three goals in the first 20 minutes as they rolled to the Wesco South victory. Josh Rudnick had two goals, Glenn Paden had a goal and an assist and Ruben Balthasar added a goal for Shorecrest. Scots’ keeper Andrew McDonald had his second shutout of the season.

Cross State Challenge: At Snohomish, Jessica Yates won three field events to lead Snohomish to victory in the four-team meet. Olivia Thomas of King’s won the girls 1,600 meter run. Josh Fuller of King’s won two sprint races and Marlyn Anderson of Snohomish won two field events.

Lake Stevens Boys and Girls Track team: At Wenatchee, Lake Stevens’ boys team won eight events and the girls team won four at the Ray Cockrum Relays in Wenatchee. Kyle VanSanten and Lacey Wagner won the 1,600 meter runs. Brennan Frost won the high jump and long jump.
