KELOWNA, B.C. — Five different Kelowna players scored and the Rockets cruised to a 5-1 win over the Everett Silvertips on Saturday at Prospera Place.
After Jake Lee opened the scoring in the first period, the Rockets tallied three goals in the second to put the game out of reach.
Kyle Topping, Trevor Wong and Liam Kindree did the damage as Kelowna took a 4-0 lead into the final frame.
Jackson Berezowski scored on an assist from Wyatte Wylie at 13:11 in the third period, but it was too little, too late for Everett.
Sean Comrie’s goal with time running down completed the scoring.
Dustin Wolf stopped 23 of 27 shots for the Silvertips (1-2-0-0) before being lifted late for Keegan Karki.
Roman Basran stopped 26 of 27 shots for the Rockets (2-0-1-0).
