CALGARY, Alberta — The Western Hockey League announced Friday that Everett Silvertips forward Dan Gendur has been named the Player of the Month for January.
Gendur put together the most productive month in Silvertip history, scoring 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists). He recorded points in 11 of Everett’s 14 games in January, including eight multipoint efforts. His play helped Everett post a 9-5 record in January, including a season-high six game winning streak.
For the season, Gendur has posted career highs of 22 goals and 43 assists. Going into Friday’s games, he ranked fifth in the WHL in scoring with 65 points.
