The Silvertips announced their preseason schedule today. Here it is:
Aug. 29, Victoria at Everett, 7 p.m.
Aug. 30, Spokane at Everett, 7 p.m.
Aug. 31, Portland at Everett, 7 p.m.
Sept. 5, Everett vs. Seattle at Kennewick, 11 a.m.
Sept. 6, Everett vs. Kootenay at Kennewick, 11 a.m.
Sept. 12, Seattle at Everett, 7:35 p.m.
Sept. 13, Everett at Seattle, 7:05 p.m.
It’s the standard preseason schedule for Everett. The first three games are at the Silvertips Preseason Tournament, which this year includes Victoria along with the five U.S. Division teams. Morning games for Everett at the Tri-City Preseason Tournament seems to have become the norm. And, of course, it always ends with a home-and-home against the T-birds.
The regular season schedule is expected to be released Wednesday. We already know Everett is playing in Seattle’s home opener on Saturday, Sept. 20. The question is whether the Tips have a game the previous night or whether that game at Seattle is Everett’s season opener as well (I’ve heard rumors that it is).
