Silvertips rout Cougars for 4th straight win

Jackson Berezowski and Ryan Hofer each score twice as Everett rolls to a 6-1 victory over Prince George.

EVERETT — Jackson Berezowski and Ryan Hofer each scored twice and the first-place Everett Silvertips pushed their win streak to four with a 6-1 win over the Prince George Cougars on Saturday evening at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Both of Hofer’s goals came in the second period as Everett broke open a 1-1 game to take a two-goal lead into the final frame.

Berezowski, Alex Swetlikoff and Niko Huuhtanen all scored in the third period as the Silvertips pulled away for the easy win.

Koen MacInnes made 15 saves and Ben Hemmerling chipped in three assists for Everett (29-7-2-2).

Hudson Thornton scored the lone goal and Ty Young stopped 48 of 54 shots for Prince George (17-21-1-1).

The Silvertips return to the ice Sunday with a 4:05 p.m. home game against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
