Scouting report
Tonight is the first of 10 meetings between Everett and Seattle this season. Seattle won eight of the 10 games between the teams last season.
Seattle, which traveled to Tri-City on Friday, is coming off a rough opening weekend, when the T-birds were swept in back-to-back games at Prince George, falling 5-2 last Friday and 2-0 last Saturday.
However, Seattle will have a slightly different look tonight with 18-year-old goaltender Jacob DeSerres (Philadelphia) and 19-year-old center Jim O’Brien (Ottawa) returning from NHL camps this week. Both are centerpiece players for the T-birds and should play tonight. However, 19-year-old defenseman Thomas Hickey remains at camp with the Los Angeles Kings.
Seattle’s offense is led by the line of O’Brien, 19-year-old left wing Prab Rai and 19-year-old right wing David Richard. Eighteen-year-old center Jeremy Boyer has both of Seattle’s goals so far.
In the absence of Hickey, Seattle’s defense is marshaled by 18-year-old Sena Acolatse.
